Quickly switch between up to eight 1.25\" eyepiece filters with this handy 8-Slot Filter Slider attachment. With this slider, you\'ll be able to use multiple filters without the hassle of repeatedly removing and replacing an eyepiece to switch individual filters.

Using a variety of different eyepiece filters is an effective way to enhance visual observations of the planets and Moon, and more distant deep-sky targets including nebulas, galaxies and star clusters. Usually, a single filter is attached to an eyepiece, then the combination of eyepiece and filter is inserted into a telescope focuser to achieve a filtered view. To change the filter, you would normally have to remove the eyepiece from the telescope, unthread and exchange the desired filter, then re-insert the eyepiece and adjust focus. As you can imagine, this process can be a hassle, especially if you wish to use more than one filter during a single stargazing session to compare filtration effects. Thankfully, the Orion 8-Slot 1.25\" Filter Slider takes the hassle out of the process by allowing you to switch between up to 8 filters quickly and easily.

As its name implies, the Orion 8-Slot 1.25\" Filter Slider filter slider holds up to eight different 1.25\" filters at once, so you can slide the preferred filter into position to enjoy an enhanced view. When you want to change filters, simply push the slider gently until the desired filter clicks into place under the inserted eyepiece. Tension of the slider mechanism can be adjusted according to your preference using an included 2.5mm hex key.

With so many spaces for filters, the 8-Slot Filter Slider makes it easy to quickly compare differently filtered views, or you can leave a slot open for an unfiltered comparison. In addition to visual benefits, specialized imaging filters can be employed to accentuate specific features in astrophotos.

This slider also makes it easier to compare filtered views at different magnifications, since you can swap out the inserted eyepiece without having to detach the installed filters. The Filter Slider\'s 1.25\" eyepiece holder features a non-marring brass compression ring to keep the inserted eyepiece, or imaging camera nosepiece, securely in-place without scratching the barrel. This convenient slider holds installed filters in the same orientation that an eyepiece would, which helps reduce unwanted reflections for optimum performance.

To reach focus when using the 8-slot 1.25\" Filter Slider, approximately 24mm of inward focus travel is required.
