The Orion BHM-13 Compact Ball Head Mount provides solid support and smooth maneuverability of your camera. Set your camera at any angle, twist the lock knob tight, and your camera will stay put there without slipping. With a load capacity of 13.2 lbs. (6.0 Kg), the Orion BHM-13 Compact Ball Head Mount can handle even big DSLRs with hefty lenses.

The same ball head that\'s included with our StarShoot Compact Astro Tracker mount, the Orion BHM-13 Compact Ball Head Mount is made of anodized aluminum alloy and features a greaseless 1.25\" ball and a large, rubber-grip tension/lock knob that locks your camera angle right where you want it. A U-shaped notch in the housing greatly extends the altitude angle range of your camera, and lets you easily switch from portrait to landscape orientation.

The Orion BHM-13 Compact Ball Head Mount has a fluid-type 360-degree panning base with dedicated lock knob. The engraved azimuth index with hash marks every 5 degrees comes in handy when doing panoramas.

The 1.6\"x1.6\" quick release (QR) plate is Arca-Swiss compatible and features a safety lock that prevents the plate from slipping out when it\'s not locked in tight. This means no accidental camera spills! Releasing the QR plate requires less than two turns of the lock knob. Textured rubber pads on the QR plate\'s surface provide excellent grip for your camera, which attaches via the captive ¼\"-20 post. The QR plate shoe is equipped with a small bubble level.

The bottom of the Orion BHM-13 Compact Ball Head Mount has a standard 3/8\"-16 threaded socket for compatibility with most tripods. The mount stands 3.6\" t
